Welcome to Fine Wine Trading Company, we distribute fine wines throughout North Carolina.

Fine Wine Trading Company is proud to introduce Vivanco wines to our portfolio.  Dinastía Vivanco is the culmination of the one of the most ambitious wine projects Spain – and perhaps the world – has ever seen, consisting of a museum, educational center, and modern winery. This triumvirate of wine resources was built according to the vision of passionate collector and wine merchant Pedro Vivanco, one of Spain’s first enologists and the third generation of Vivancos in the wine business – his grandfather was a “cosechero” who began selling wine door-to-door in 1915.

The winery is impressive, surrounded completely by vineyards and boasting a fully underground, naturally cooled aging cellar that houses 3500 barrels. For their annual bottlings, Vivanco selects only the top 20-30% of the annual harvest and only from their own vineyards (they own 440 hectares), ensuring complete control over the quality. Their goal is to make world-class, iconic wines.

The family tradition continues with sons Santiago and Rafael Vivanco. Santiago manages the museum and “Fundación Cultura de Vino”, while Bordeaux-trained Rafael heads the viticulture and winemaking. Rafael’s intention is to follow the history of Rioja, using only indigenous grapes, tradtional methods, and subtle influence of oak.

Fine Wine Trading Company proudly presents a new line of wine with a worthy cause.  These private label wines include an Italian Pinot Grigio, Calfornia Chardonnay and California Cabernet Sauvignon.  Fine Wine Trading Company will donate $1 per bottle sold to the Hope for Holt Foundation.

Hope for Holt
Holt Grier was barely a year old in 2007 when he was diagnosed with Cystinosis. His family and friends have created this foundation to raise awareness about the rare disease and help support the Cystinosis Research Foundation in hopes of finding a cure.

Cystinosis is a rare, inherited, metabolic disease that slowly and eventually destroys all major organs of the body including the kidneys, liver, eyes, muscles, bone marrow, thyroid and brain. Holt is one of only 500 in the US and 2000 worldwide to be affected with the disease. Although medication is available to control some of the symptoms of this insidious disease, Cystinosis remains incurable.

Rare diseases have less awareness, therefore less funding. The only way real progress is made is through the private funding of research. Please find out how you can help make a difference in the lives of exceptional children and their families battling this incurable illness.  Find out more at www.hopeforholt.org.
